Many people only go boat riding occasionally. This could either be due to lack of time or simply because it is an activity that they only want to do once in awhile. Either way for these people it would be much better to use boat rentals instead of going to the expense of buying a boat. This way they dont have to worry about a boat loan or spending money for the upkeep of a boat to ensure it stays in good condition.
